Y’all life got crazy! Let’s sit down and enjoy some coffee together while I catch you up.
Last I left you with was that I was pregnant, on bedrest and planning to expand our tiny house. And things just got out of hand around here.
This pregnancy took me out in almost every area of my life. I was in survival mode pretty much the entire 9 months. Being on bedrest took all the hard work I had done with working out and making my body stronger and threw it out the window. I lost so much muscle strength that the rest of my pregnancy I was basically in pain doing anything, including just sitting.
We managed some school through the regular school season but once summer hit we were busy. We were playing at friends house, church activities including camp which I was very lucky to be able to attend even with all my pain, and normal just keep the house picked up and kids alive. I knew that this would just be a tough season and once we started school after the baby we could hit it hard and get caught up.
Over the course of my pregnancy we started on the house. It took some time to get started and it was slow because I couldn’t help and Cowboy also had to help more around the house which limited his time to work on the house. The great news is the addition is mostly done now! Cowboy is lucky enough to work for a company that gives 2 weeks paid paternity leave. It was great having him around to help after I had given birth but it was also his time to get the house done. I can’t wait to share pictures.
Right now our little bundle of joy is 7 weeks old and I’m happy to report that I’m getting back to normal. I have recovered from birth, our house is getting put back together from months of neglect, and we have finally started to get into a routine now that I’m getting some regular sleep.
Glad we got to have this little coffee chat so we could catch up. It’s been a while.
